Welcome to Wildcat Golf Course
Wildcat Golf Course, previously known as Meadowbrook Country Club, was established and constructed in 1921. It is considered to be one of the oldest country clubs in Texas. During the early 1920’s, Palestine was a hub for the Missouri Pacific Railroad and the country club was an integral part of the community.
Palestine High School students and staff have been diligently working to revitalize the golf course and remodel a house which will serve as the new clubhouse. The opportunity for our students to have a hands-on learning lab is invaluable.
We believe that our golfers deserve a nice day of golf at an affordable rate. We offer this to all our golfers so that they can come again and again. Whether it be hitting a couple buckets at the driving range or playing a round of golf we’re sure that you will have an enjoyable.
Private Donations and Fundraising
“We are not going to spend taxpayer money to maintain the golf course,” Marshall said. “We want to provide local opportunities for kids to play golf, we’re working with the Palestine Chamber of Commerce because business executives also want a place to play. All capital improvements will be done through fundraising so we hope the community will help us with that.”
